On top of the clouds~ We hiked nearly 4,000 meters up Acatenango volcano, and camped at the top. It was one of the steepest, most intense hikes we’ve ever hiked, but when we got to the top, the view was incredible. We had a fantastic view of another active volcano “Fuego” and drank hot chocolate over the bonfire listening to stories from our local guide about the politics and life in Guatemala. Definitely the best highlight of the trip.
