We crossed into Chile through the Atacama desert. This border crossing was particularly intense because they took everything out of our car, inspected all our items, and made us through away eggs, chicken, fruits, veggies, full bag of black beans, bag of raw lentils, and 2 containers of honey (The honey was the worst. We knew Bolivia was cheaper, so we had stocked up!) .. San Pedro is a super bohemian/touristy town and too expensive, so we escaped to a campsite just outside of town. Atacama is an incredible place for star gazing. The universe feel so vast that the stars feel all around you and under you. ..
